Just came across an article from the
online Inquirer.net talking about a person's overall IQ (intelligence), EQ (emotional intelligence), and AQ (attitudinal quotient) as a measure of one's success in life. A professor of mine added another factor to this equation -- SQ, which focuses on one's spirituality or the spiritual quotient.
To think I was raised to believe that IQ is the only route to a successful life, now there are other factors that affect one's way of living. Back then, I thought that having the highest grade meant a better life. A good education might get you a higher paying job, but there are other factors that affect the way to achieve your goals and how you handle success.
I don't really know if there is a way to measure one's EQ, AQ, and SQ. These things appear so abstract and it's hard to quantify things like values, belief systems, and feelings. But they do affect one's perspective on life and one's value/belief system.
I guess if I know my own rating in each of these factors, I can figure out how I would set my own goals and plans (and probably have my own definition of success).
