Sheila! Sheila! Shei-LA! (The thief) The Acrobat character (I forget her name) has nothing on Sheila.
Nothing like a cute redhead with freckles and an invisibility-enabled cloak to light a fire in Young Dex. Let's place Sheila aside (hard for me to do even now, so many years removed from that magical but truncated time).
All the boys wanted to identify with heroic, take-charge Hank (the Archer with the powered bow). They found Eric's (the Cavalier) costume cool-- but let's face it: you're pretty useless if you're armed only with a shield. The Conjurer (I forget his name) has glasses and a voice-activated magic hat that in theory could make useful items appear. More often than not the useful items didn't appear, at least not they way the Conjurer wanted-- my first lesson in DMing: GYP YOUR PLAYERS! I also identified with this guy but not publicly.
Bobby the Barbarian and Uni the unicorn pony-- them I wanted to kill off.
Because the other guy I wanted to identify with --very publicly-- was Venger.
Yeah. Bad guys are cool!
