This is another set of paintings that I found appealed to me when I was viewing the Drawing Room Gallery's virtual exhibit. These paintings are part of an exhibit entitled "Parables" and they were created by Rodel Tapaya.
I found the portraits quite comical and colorful. Each painting depicts a Filipino (at least to me), with large and strong eyes that drew me into the work. The intricate patterns reminded me of checkered gift wrapping paper, but it further added depth to the portraits and their expressions.
